Clifton Cricket Club’s firework display  is set t feature brand-new revamp of its food and drink stalls, tombola, and firework display.

Taking place on November 5th from 18:00, this year’s event will showcase a new set of food and drink stalls, fairground rides, a tombola, and outside and inside-bar.

Steven Judge, Committee Event Organiser said: “We’re going to have a twice as long display this year and the music this time will be more in sync with the firework display.

“We’ve put in all our marketing and our advertising that tickets are first come first serve because we can obviously only have so many people, we’re not as big as a park.”

The event has been advertised as a family ‘feel good’ fun event. Mr Judge followed: “It’s a fun evening for the kids, we do a few little touches like glow sticks for kids free of charge on the door.”

“We got a real sense of community last year, – it’s just the feel good sort of factor and the sense of occasion you get with kids when they come to fireworks nights.”

The people of Manchester appear to be quite disappointed as a number of bonfire night’s have been cancelled across Manchester.

Gary Connor commented on Facebook: “Of 842 million expenditure budget they are spending 691 million on services so where is the other 150 million going, surely a few fireworks for kids in these crap times won’t cost that much.”

Clifton Cricket Club firework display takes place on 5th November and begins at 18:00.
