Organisations across Salford are running free events this October half term to help curb the impacts of the cost of living crisis.
Salford City Council have agreed to run free sessions to keep kids busy with swimming and multi sport activities being held at Clarendon Leisure Centre on October 24-27.
Salford Community Leisure are running swimming and multi-sport activities for 8-16 year old children at Clarendon Leisure Centre during the school half term – 24th, 25th, 26th and 27th October. Salford libraries are also running ‘Lego mania’ days, mornings or afternoons across the city. They’re free to drop in to.
Boothstown: Monday 24 October 9:30am- 5pm
Ordsall: Monday 24 October 9:30am- 12pm
Worsley Village: Thursday 27 October 2- 5pm
Little Hulton: Friday 28 October 9:30am- pm
For little ones who enjoy being outside, Ordsall Hall is running an ‘Apple Day’ on Monday October 24 with the garden team running activities in the venue’s orchard. It runs from 11am to 3pm with no booking required.
Salford Museum and Art Gallery is also joining in with keeping the kids busy by running ‘What’s in the Bag’ sessions. These are taking place on Wednesday October 26 at 11am, 1pm and 2pm. In these sessions kids are given the opportunity to learn about the Victorian era and explore ‘feely bags’.
