Ryan Leak has signed for Salford City FC from Burton Albion on a two year deal for an undisclosed fee.
The 24-year-old, who played for the Welsh U17 National team twice, joined the Wolverhampton Wanderers academy at seven and stayed with the club for 14 years. He signed for Spanish side Burgos in 2019 before returning to England last summer with Burton.
Speaking ahead of the move, Ryan Leak said: “I’m absolutely buzzing to be here and I’m glad that everything is sorted now. I can’t wait to get out there with the team and really kick on this season!
“The way that the Club, and the manager especially, wants to play this year was a big reason for me coming here, and I feel it was the right fit for me to carry on learning and developing.
“Salford is an ambitious Club with big aspirations, and I hope to contribute to more success for the Club in the next step of my career!
“I look forward to meeting and playing in front of the fans, and hopefully together we can achieve great things this year.”

The Welshman’s signing continues Salford’s busy summer of arrivals, as he is their fourth acquisition after Elliot Watt, Callum Hendry and Stevie Mallan joined the club. Newly appointed manager Neil Wood will be hoping that each incoming player can aid Salford’s push for the playoffs this season.
