Vertigo eatery announced on Monday on social media the closure of all their sites due to loss of business from the Covid-19.
With a post to social media, the Vegan restaurant announced the closure on Monday to all their customers despite only opening some stores after the pandemic.
“It is with a heavy heart we have to announce Vertigo is no more. Sadly, we have ceased trading at all of our sites.” The social media post says. “The pandemic really took its toll on us, and trade is still well behind what it was pre- March 2020.”
The Media City site only opened in August 2020 and always seems busy due to the ongoing office trade in the area, but despite this office trade in the city centre of Manchester and other cities still has not returned to pre-pandemic capacities.
“It is no longer viable for us to operate on our city centre locations which rely heavily on a Monday-Friday office trade. We want to thank all of our wonderful customers, suppliers and everyone who has supported us over the past few years.”

Vertigo is a completely plant-based restaurant and has encouraged many of its customers to follow a plant-based diet. Many of the Media City restaurants customers are sad the site is closing and it will be greatly missed.
Vertigo will be missed by many of its customers who may now struggle to find plant-based lunch restaurants amongst mainstream shops and restaurants.
