Salford City are hoping to get a positive result this Saturday against Sky Bet League 2 table-toppers, Forest Green Rovers.
Salford, who currently sit in 11th position, are looking for their third win on the bounce after away victories at Leyton Orient and Swindon Town.
Forest Green have been enjoying a terrific season, and are currently ten points clear of second place, Northampton Town, despite only getting two points from their last four games.

Despite this recent blip in form, Gary Bowyer’s men know that they will be in for a very tough game. The reverse fixture between the sides earlier in the season ended 3-1 to Forest Green and the Ammies have never beaten Forest Green at the Peninsula Stadium (1L, 1D).
Salford are hoping to maintain their promising form in this game and build on last Saturday’s win at Swindon. The 2-1 victory was the Ammies’ first comeback win since their promotion to the Football League in 2019.

Midfielder Ryan Watson scored in the 86th minute to give the Ammies all three points at the County Ground, and he spoke of his delight in his post-match interview:
“I’m buzzing, to be honest, all the lads are made up after that. It was a massive win for us and a massive three points, these [Swindon] have been flying the last few weeks and to come here and obviously be 1-0 down it showed great character to come back.
“We have to keep building. It’s been a bit frustrating with a few games being called off recently, that was two weeks without a game so the boys have been brilliant in training to keep focused and keep the goal in mind.”
On the injury front, Salford will be without long-term absentees Ian Henderson and Josh Morris.
Ashley Eastham, Matty Willock and Luke Burgess could be in contention to return to the matchday squad, however, Gary Bowyer is expected to name an unchanged starting 11.
Forest Green have no selection issues, with a full squad to choose from.
Tickets for the game are available to purchase from the Salford City website.
