Salford homeless charity, Salford Loaves and Fishes, are fundraising for their Christmas dinner campaign.
A £5 donation will help towards providing those in need with both a Christmas meal and a gift during the festive period.
Salford Loaves and Fishes are a charity dedicated to working with homeless and vulnerable individuals.
They aim to empower people, meet their needs, offer hope, and embrace those who need it the most, by organising workshops and providing free daily meals.

Jonathan Billings, CEO of Salford Loaves and Fishes, said: “After last Christmas, [with everyone] being in lockdown, we wanted to do something different – something that was going to be a bit of a treat for people in need.
“[Supporting others] is important on any day of the year – safeguarding vulnerable people and providing people with essential services is what we are all about.
“This comes to a head at Christmas, as it’s a time for thinking of others.
“The campaign also raises much-needed funds for Salford Loaves and Fishes to use in 2022, which will enable us to provide more support for people in need.
“Ultimately this will lead to fewer people becoming homeless and a reduction in rough sleeping in Salford”.
The charity has already distributed hundreds of Christmas presents to those in need in Salford, and with approximately £5,000 raised so far, this will ensure they can provide hundreds of Christmas dinners this December as well.
Billings added: “[Raising] a million would be nice! We would certainly have a realistic chance of ending homelessness and rough sleeping in Salford with that amount!
“But seriously, every penny raised makes a difference.
“We have two dedicated chefs who, with the support of volunteers, will be preparing a full Christmas dinner with all the trimmings!
“Also, we are serving festive-themed meals during the full festive season, and everyone attending on Christmas Day will receive a gift.
“We are a non-judgmental, non-means-tested service, open to anyone and everyone over 18, and we provide targeted services to people in need, such as homeless people and those at risk of homelessness.
“Please don’t be alone this Christmas, please come to Loaves and Fishes for dinner”.
Salford Loaves and Fishes are based at 1 Paddington Close, Salford, M6 5PL.
They are open Monday to Friday from 9am until 3pm. However, on Christmas Day, they will be open from 11am until 3pm.
Donations can be made any time, via their website, or via their JustGiving page.
