Home Instead Salford is holding a ‘Chat and Wrap’ session this Saturday December 11.
The session entails wrapping the gifts which have been kindly gifted to them in the ‘Santa to a Senior’ campaign.’
There will be teas, coffees, and mince pies on offer, whilst you wrap up presents for the vulnerable people in the community.
It won’t only be wrapping up presents, most importantly anyone in need of a chat can go down and talk to the people at Home Instead.
Santa to a Senior campaign
“We go to the local supermarkets and park up outside and we ask the customers as they’re coming out and going in, if they will put a little extra in their bags for the vulnerable people in the Salford area.”
The ‘Santa to a Senior’ campaign ties in perfectly with the ‘Chat and Wrap’ session because they spend the day wrapping up all the gifts they have received. So, they can be distributed to not-for-profit organisations like SSAFA, which know where the most vulnerable people live, in the local area.
What do Home Instead do?
“We are a care provider, we provide care in the community and private sector and we don’t spend less than one hour in each client’s house. So we’ve got the stability there and we also match our caregivers to the clients. Therefore, if our clients like jigsaws and going to the garden centre, we will get all the caregivers who have the same kind of interests and match them up and introduce them to the clients and see whether they hit it off or not.”
The ‘Chat and Wrap’ session will be taking place at Home Instead Salford, 457 Chorley Road, Swinton, M279LQ.
