A win for the young Ammies would see them into the third round of the competition, where they could face a youth team from a Premier League team such as Manchester United.
The side reached this stage by beating Blyth Spartans U18 3-0 last week in Salford, with goals from Djavon Pedro and a brace from Harvey Walsh,.
Salford City manager Gary Bowyer watched that game, along with the entire first team squad, in an attempt to offer their support to the youngsters.
Bowyer has commented that the competition is the pinnacle of a scholars career, with it being used as a chance to introduce yourself as a young player.
Salford take the academy structure extremely seriously, and have already seen the fruits of this with two players from the U18 on the bench for the first team in last nights win at Dagenham.
Defender Kelly N’Mai has already featured regularly in the first team this season, himself coming from the U18 squad.
He will feature in Thursday’s game, which will be open to supporters with admission just £5 for adults, with the game kicking off at 19:00 and supporters able to pay on the gate.
