Disappointed Salford City fans have given their reactions after discovering that the Moor Lane square on the Salford Monopoly board actually uses an image from a different stadium.
Salford’s highly anticipated monopoly board was released in October and features some of the city’s most iconic spots such as Salford Lads’ Club, Media City, Peel Park and Salford City’s Moor Lane stadium.
However, Ammies supporters were frustrated to find that the Moor Lane image shows a section of red and white seats that is not from the Peninsula Stadium but is thought to be an area of Manchester United’s Old Trafford.
Salford has officially passed GO!
We are absolutely delighted to be on the MONOPOLY: City of Salford edition board.

Many Salford fans took to social media to complain about the image controversy with one Facebook User ‘Craig Haworth’ calling the mistake “embarrassing”.
Another user ‘Daniel Lucas’ bemoaned “that’s so bad!” whilst ‘John Keever’ was totally put off the game stating “was going to get this board but not now”.
Other supporters found the funnier side of the mix-up with ‘Tom Smart’ writing “we don’t have that many seats” along with many more responding with laughter reactions.
Salford City themselves have had their say on the situation with the Ammies Facebook page replying to a post saying:
“Just by way of an update on this, it seems there was mixed communications. We emailed Winning Moves as per their instructions when it was announced, but they say they didn’t get the email and claim they tried to contact us – which they didn’t. There’s nothing they can do to rectify the mistake unless they do another run which they doubt they will.”
