Following the opening of outdoor seating areas in pubs after their four-month closure, it’s time to get out into the sun and grab a few drinks and food with some of your friends or family.
There are pubs dotted all over Salford and Manchester for everyone from students to families, ranging from cocktail bars to restaurants.
Here is a brief insight of what is on offer:
If you are looking for a beer garden to get you back into the swing of boozing, where better to start than The Old Pint Pot?
Whether you’re after an alcoholic beverage or some typical pub grub, they can serve you from their reduced food menu.
Located on Adelphi Street, right on the River Irwell, it is ideal for any Salford University student and easy to access for anyone travelling.
Their opening times are from 2pm till 11pm Sunday to Thursday and 12pm till 11pm on Saturdays. Booking slots of 1 hour and 45 minutes are available but from 8pm it becomes walk-in only.
Walk-in only tables are available throughout the day so don’t hesitate in heading down right away.
A fantastic alternative would be to stop by at Media City and have some drinks at The Dockyard.
Their outdoor seating area catches the sun superbly in the modern news complex surrounded by BBC and ITV.
The Dockyard will be open every day 11am – 11pm and (if the weather is fine) Sundays 12pm – 9pm.
There is no stress either whether to book yourself a table as it remains walk-in only so you can easily head over and grab yourself a drink.
Based at Media City, this is an ideal location to go for drinks as it provides a lovely backdrop over the docks whether it’s in the sunshine or as the sun sets.

Finally, if you’re after a peaceful relaxing location to go drinking, why not try out canal-side pub The Wharf?
With a vast terraced seating area, it provides an ideal socially distanced area for groups of six or two households.
The Wharf is open from 12pm till 10pm everyday, so it is very flexible and can accommodate you when you please.
Being located just by the Deansgate Interchange also makes it a very easily accessed location for people travelling from near or far.
