Ever dreamed of owning your own spot on the Quays? Or perhaps dreaming even bigger and owning the Lowry Centre? Is the Salford Museum and Arts Gallery just a pinch out of reach?
Well not anymore as property prices start from just $60… in Monopoly money that is!
Plans have passed go to create a Salford version of the family-favourite board-game of Monopoly, with Salford ‘classics’ such as Ordsall Hall and the Quays tipped to be included.
Salfordians will be able to battle it out to become the city’s top property tycoon with a choice between all the classic favourites such as the racing car, scottie dog, and top hat- but careful you don’t land yourself in jail first!
Salford City Mayor, Paul Dennett said: “This is fantastic news and we are delighted that Salford is to get such prestigious world recognition.”
Branded as “The new showbiz capital of the North” by Winning Moves, the creators of the board game- George Shrimpton, Custom Games Executive said: “Not so long ago it was number 314 on our world list of places to Pass GO. Now? Number 1!”
There is still much speculation as to which iconic Salford locations will feature on the board, but locals are invited to share their views and vote on which places to include before the game goes on sale by emailing: salford@winningmoves.co.uk.

Polling begins Thursday 18th March 2021 and is open till 23:59pm on April 2nd, 2021.
The boardgame is set to be released later on this year in October.
