For World Wildlife Day, The Ammies have joined many of the world’s biggest organisations in removing the nature out of their logo as part of the #worldwithoutnature social media movement.
The campaign created by the WWF is aimed at highlighting the dramatic loss of biodiversity globally and the social and economical risks that it poses.
This #WorldWildlifeDay we’re joining with @WWF and @Voice4Planet to highlight the risk nature loss presents to our planet by removing the Lion from our logo. #WorldWithoutNature

By removing the lion from their crest, the Salford City badge looks bare and empty which is a great way to emphasise the importance of nature in our world.
Along with The Ammies, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Nottingham Forest and Huddersfield Town are just a few other football clubs who have modified their badge for World Wildlife Day, Wednesday 3rd March.
