Police seized a large quantity of the Class B drug cannabis from a property in Salford last night.
They were called to John Street where they found multiple rooms stocked with cannabis plants, alongside a “sophisticated filtration system and a large amount of fertiliser.”
Inspector Eamon McManus praised the discovery and assured that the unit was being properly dealt with.
“This is a significant find and fantastic work by our officers.
“The property is in the process of being made safe and due to the scale of the find, officers may remain at the scene for a day or two.”
Four men were arrested in connection with the discovery and two are still in police custody. The other two have been released but are still under investigation.
GMP are appealing for any members of the public with information to come forward.
