The 23-year-old said: “It’s my hometown club.
“From watching them from a young age as a season ticket holder for seven years, just to be at the club, playing for the club it is a special feeling – so that was the main reason.”

Wells joins from Wigan where he has spent the majority of his professional career, with time as a junior at Folly Lane in Swinton, as well as loan spells as a professional at Swinton Lions and Toronto Wolfpack.
He joins fellow former Wigan man Joe Burgess in signing for Salford following their departures earlier this month.
The coming 2021 Super League season will commence in March next year.
