A 186 room, 16-storey hotel is set to be built in Salford.
A site of an existing site of a car park on Chapel Street.
The hotel will be operated by Irish firm, The Dalata Hotel Group, under the Maldron brand.
The car park site in Salford, which neighbours the Citysuites Aparthotel, will include a publicly accessible coffee lounge, bar, and restaurant, according to the proposal.
A gym facility is to be included in the hotel which will be for residents only.
Developers Central and Urban, which is behind the project, held public consultations in August this year which are now closed.
They have said that the plans will help “generate jobs and investment in Salford, supporting the City’s growth and recovery from the Covid-19 crisis”.
The project would create 150 construction jobs over the 2 years as well as 50 long term permanent jobs for the community, according to their plans.

The project planners say they are committed to working closely with Salford City Council, in order to meet their goals to make improvements to Chapel Street.
They said: “We are working with Salford City Council to ensure that the development complements their aspirations for a pedestrian and cycle-friendly corridor along Chapel Street, with widened footways and cycleways in line with the latest TFGM best practice design.”
Salford City Council is expected to make a formal decision by January 2021.
