Salford Red Devils are back in Betfred Super League action when they make the trip to the DW Stadium to face Wigan Warriors on Friday 23 October 2020; 5.30pm start.
Ian Watson’s side will be hoping to bounce back from last weekend’s Coral Challenge Cup Final loss to Leeds Rhinos at Wembley Stadium.
Defeat in Saturday’s Challenge Cup Final means that the Red Devils will also be looking to snap a two-game losing streak on Friday night, having gone down 24-22 to Hull KR in their most recent Super League outing.

Prior to that, the Red Devils had enjoyed a relatively successful month of September in Super League, winning two of their three matches.
Defeat to Castleford Tigers at the start of the month was bounced back from with successive wins over Hull FC and Warrington Wolves.
Strong form in that month also saw them go six games unbeaten in all competitions prior to defeats in their last two games.
It’s meant that they’ve been able to respond to what was a difficult start to the season, prior to the campaign’s suspension, which saw them lose five of their opening seven fixtures.
One of those two wins, however, did come against Friday night’s opponents in an 18-14 win at the AJ Bell Stadium – a game that turned out to be the Red Devils’ final fixture before the season came to a halt.
As for the visitors, they’ll be looking to get a first Super League victory in three games following recent defeats to Leeds Rhinos and St Helens.

The Warriors currently occupy second place in the table and had been in good form prior to those respective slip-ups, winning five of their first six games since the restart.
They too will be therefore looking to get back on track during Friday night’s game at the DW Stadium, one that will be televised live on Sky Sports from 5.15pm.
