Salford is on 977 confirmed cases of coronavirus, an increase of FIVE.

The data was released today by the Department for Health and Social Care in partnership with the Office for National Statistics.

The current number of cases in each region is as follows:

SALFORD: 977, an increase of FIVE

BURY: 815, an increase of FOUR

BOLTON: 1,054, an increase of TWO

ROCHDALE: 881, an increase of THREE

OLDHAM: 1,151, an increase of ONE

TAMESIDE: 863, an increase of FOUR

STOCKPORT: 1,084, an increase of ONE

MANCHESTER: 1,714, an increase of THREE

TRAFFORD: 881, an increase of TWO

WIGAN: 1,231, an increase of NONE
