A parent and toddler dance class leader in Eccles is finding a way to keep toddlers active and happy during the coronavirus outbreak by moving her classes online for a discounted fee.
Jasmine Payne set up Tiny Bopz in February in the hope of getting youngsters, and their parents, moving.
Classes normally take place at The Danceworks in Eccles but, due to the current circumstances, Jasmine was forced to stop her classes, leaving toddlers without their happy place to dance.
However, she has decided to make her classes accessible from home during this difficult time through the use of technology.
For Jasmine, it’s all about keeping the children entertained during what can be a confusing time for them:
“I realised that it was difficult to explain to such young children what was going on and why they weren’t in their usual routine.
“This is when I thought about setting up the online class for a small discounted price.
“it is also so rewarding to see the smiles on their faces when the world is experiencing such a difficult time.”
“This way the little ones can still keep moving, smiling and having fun through these difficult times.”
The lessons will be taking place through the Zoom app, which allows multiple people to video chat at once.
This means that Jasmine can carry on teaching youngsters from her living room, keeping both her and her clients safe.
Keeping people smiling during this time can be challenging, but Jasmine says that it gives her something to be proud of:
“Music and movement allow our younger ones to really let go and have fun, and it is also so rewarding to see the smiles on their faces when the world is experiencing such a difficult time.”
