A single man has paid for a billboard in Salford for a month to find a date.
Andrew Gaskell, from Chester, has paid £960 to have a billboard encouraging potential dates to get in contact with him.
The billboard stands on Regent Road in Salford for motorists and pedestrians to see for four weeks.
The billboard comes after a story of Mark Rofe who erected a similar advertisement and has reportedly received an overwhelming response. Rofe stated in a Tweet:
The dating apps weren’t working, so I bought a billboard and set up a website to stand out and try get a date.

Gaskell was inspired by Mark Rofe’s approach to dating and decided to run his own advertisement, placed in his old home of Salford.
Talking about the response he has received since the billboard went up on Tuesday, stating:
“The first day was slow, then yesterday [26th February] there was more interest once i started co-ordinating with Mark on here. And last night there was a surprise feature about me on BBC North West tonight, right at the end of the programme, which created more interest again!”
You can see the billboard for yourself on Regents Road in Salford.
