Dad Matters UK is a home-start project which supports fathers across Greater Manchester.
Dad Matters UK aim to help dads have successful relationships with their families and provide them with support to help their mental health.
Kieran Anders, project manager of Dad Matters described them as being, “quite innovative.
“We want dads to understand their mental health instead of ignoring it.”
Showing that it isn’t just dads that Dad Matter help, Mr Anders said, “Dads and mums can join our Facebook page.”
Mr Anders explained that they want to help more dads in Salford, “we are hoping to build more support in Salford.”
Thanks to the recent £42,000 extra funding from NHS Salford Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), Dad Matters are able to support more dads in Salford.
Each year NHS Salford Clinical Commission Group (CCG) runs the Innovation Fund to support community projects that help the healthcare of people in the community. 12 of these projects were chosen to receive money in the 2019/20 fund.
The project are trying to expand their support in Salford by expanding their team.

Home-start Trafford, Salford and Wigan, is looking for a new Dad Matters Coordinator to join their team.
Home-start say “successful candidate” of the job will, “develop local universal and targeted interventions for dads in the perinatal period, working closely with colleagues from Parent Infant Mental Health Services, Maternity, Health Visiting, Children’s Services and with a wide range of dads and dads-to-be.”
