The University of Salford wellbeing team are encouraging students who are experiencing any problems at university to visit Rafiki, a student run listening service, which offers peer support to anybody struggling at University.
Based in University House next to the Rosa Parks room, Rafiki is a drop-in service, allowing students more freedom to just pop in, instead of having the formality and pressure of a booked session.
If a face to face chat is too daunting, students can also message volunteers through the Rafiki Page, where a messenger service is available during the service’s open hours.
Unfortunately, while the service has benefitted many, some students are unaware that it exists.
The opening times for Rafiki are:
Monday: 12pm – 4pm
Tuesday: 9am – 11am
Wednesday: 11am – 5pm
Thursday: 10am – 2pm & 3pm – 5pm
Friday: closed
