An owner of an Irlam-based support hub for mothers has recently stressed the importance for mums to connect in a welcoming space.
Amy Potter, who runs the mothers group at the Irlam-based business ‘Beautiful Blessings‘, said: “Having a supportive environment really does open the gates for some mums who are struggling to get out and socialise.
“We always encourage mums to openly chat and share their experiences and challenges of everyday life.”
By sharing these experiences it helps new mothers see that they can have people to relate to and be able to understand that they are certainly not alone.
This Valentine’s day event is classed as a celebratory class and that is the third one Amy has done in the year and is looking to do more.
The idea for the sessions was sparked originally by the lack of mum and baby classes within her local area.
“I know how much being able to socialise and communicate with other mums in a safe space.”
Welcoming new mothers to a brand new space, is a key part of the group as they can build a community with each other and help each other with their struggles.
There is always encouragement for mums to openly chat about their thoughts, experiences and challenges of everyday life.
Amy added: “I keep my prices as low as possible to support those who want to join us.”
Amy hires out local venues for the sessions and for the special events, she hires out local photographers or a healing coach. So whilst providing for the community Amy is also supporting local businesses.
Beautiful Blessings are hosting a Valentines Day event which will be the third celebratory event of the weekly baby yoga class.
This event is suitable for newborns up to children aged two.
The Valentines Day event takes place on (Wednesday February 14) from 10am till 11.30am at Higher Irlam Social Club, Cutnook Lane, Irlam, M44 6J8.
