This has been such a hard election to predict, this year hopefully more people than ever have gone to their local polling station to vote.
Here in Salford, people have been queueing out of polling station’s eager to vote in one of the most interesting General elections ever.
Salford residents have expressed on Twitter how shocked they are with having to wait outside polling stations to vote in the 2019 election.
Both the Helly Hansen Watersport Centre and Salford Lads Club had residents queuing outside in the cold and the rain. Rob (@irrelevant_come) said on Twitter “Polling day. I have never queued before. #Salford”
The polls closed at 10 pm this evening, with the conservatives currently leading in exit polls, the figures suggest a Conservative majority, with an estimated 368 seats, with Labour only estimated to get 191. The exit poll revelation has shocked Salford residents with people expressing their opinions on the results.
“Honestly, this country… just speechless and disgusting.”
“I have no words #exitpolls #UKElection.” @ms_manutd

Here in Salford, Labour is currently holding two seats out of the three: Salford and Eccles and Blackley and Broughton both holding a 99.9+% chance of holding the area, but the final seat it isn’t looking too clear for Labour, they have got a big competition with the conservatives, Worsley and Eccles South is currently swaying towards the Conservative party, they hold a 61% chance of gaining the seat.
Numerous Salford residents have expressed their opinions on the exit poll results, especially about their worries that if Boris Johnson and his conservative party stay in power, things like education, transport and the NHS will be forgotten about.
Sky News keeps calling it “The Brexit Election” which tells you everything you need to know I.e. no one is concerned about health, education, welfare, environmental sustainability, immigration, disability. Actual issues that will touch people far beyond Brexit.

Seeing “goodbye NHS” trending is the saddest thing. If the exit poll is correct more people will die. Poor people, children and vulnerable people. But it’s ok, because we’ll be out of Europe…

Been so nervous all day, week and month. It’s only an exit poll but it’s the first time I’ve felt a little bit relieved. The country I love has spoken. #NeverCorbyn
