A 28 foot long stretch limousine has ram-raided the new Co-op on Ordsall Lane.
At around 2:30 this morning, police were called out after residents reported loud banging.
The 4 month old supermarket, located beneath a block of new luxury apartments, is now closed and workmen are on site replacing the window.

Multiple people have questioned the choice of vehicle and the target supermarket.
It is currently unknown if there was any motive behind the incident or if anything was taken during the incident.
Greater Manchester Police have been contacted for further comment and Salford Now are awaiting a response.
