A place where the money wouldn’t be going to waste is the American Football Club on Albert Park, Lower Broughton. Here the team of more than 20 members constantly struggles for funding, due to it being an ‘expensive sport’ said the President of the Club Olly Sweetman.
The club has been going for a few years now but has always found it hard to receive adequate funding its needed due to its position a niche sport. With the money they are hoping to tackle bags, padding, coach fees and much more allowing them to be a real competitive player in the league.
