An appeal has been launched to find volunteers who can give some of their time to You Can community club in Salford.
The charity is on the look for enthusiastic individuals and students to donate their spare time and help out at the youth focused centre.
You Can provides a range of sports and arts-based activities throughout term time and holiday periods for disabled children and young people aged 12 to 25 years.
With a team of committed and well-trained community leaders, the charity aims to raise awareness of disability and help all young people learn new skills and reach their full potential.
The charity also puts on a range of sporting activities all year-round, helping people with a learning and physical disability to get active and keep fit and healthy.
Jillian Pollitt, disability youth worker, You Can, said: “Most of the young people that come don’t have a social life.
“They don’t have friends, they don’t have confidence, but then you’ll see them whether it’s a week down the line or 2 years and they’re the most confident person.
“They’re either probably looking for job or they’ve got a full-time job. Watching that journey makes it really rewarding.
For volunteers in the centre there are a number of roles including arts, sport and team-based activities to get involved in.
