The Food Warehouse’s (TFW) newly launched £750,000 outlet has created 30 new jobs in Walkden.
Iceland’s “bigger little brother” The Food Warehouse (TFW) opened the new store in Walkden town centre on Tuesday November 19.
Store manager Mark Madders said: “This is a great opportunity for the local community as our full recruitment day mainly focused on employing new staff from this community.”
With more than 3,000 product lines, TFW Walkden offers shoppers the value of a wholesale store without the need for membership. It combines the convenience of bulk buying with fresh, frozen and ambient food deals, as well as including exclusive ‘When it’s Gone, it’s Gone’ deals on homeware items.
Operation director Kristian Barrett said: “We’re delighted to have opened our new store in Walkden. The Food Warehouse is an innovative store format, responding to the changing needs of shoppers by offering amazing bulk-buy deals and homeware offers alongside a fantastic range of frozen, fresh and chilled foods.”
The fast growing supermarket has opened more than 100 branches across Britain since being founded in 2014 and has plans to open 30 more.
