Police are appealing for information about convicted criminal John Francis Green ,35, who is wanted on recall to prison.
Green was jailed in 2007 after being convicted for dangerous driving in the Salford area, which resulted in the death of 12-year-old Wesley Finney.
The incident took place in early 2005. Finney was catapulted from a Toyota Yaris being driven by Green who had taken class A drugs the previous evening.
The boy was thrown from the vehicle on impact across the central reservation of the M602 at Salford, and was hit by a further two vehicles. The crash occurred after Green threatened another driver and attempted to ram their vehicle which resulted in the subsequent crash.
After the accident, Green and two other passengers fled the scene, leaving Wesley on the motorway. He died on impact.
Green, of Delamere Avenue, Irlams ‘o’th’ Height, pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicle taking; and causing death by careless driving while unfit through consumption of drugs.
In a separate case, Green pleaded guilty to wounding a man while on bail for his other charges. The victim in that case was stabbed four times – in the neck, shoulder and back.
Police released images today of Green, along with a statement requesting further information. Updates can also be found on twitter @GMPsalford
