A host of celebrities will help save the Christmas light switch on from Whoville’s very own Grinch, this evening, in MediaCityUK.
Who’s looking forward to having a mulled wine and warming up by the fire at @TheDockyardMCUK’s tipi bar?

BBC Radio 1 presenter, Katie Thisleton, and CBBC’s Hacker T Dog, will be joined alongside 6 Music’s Mark Radcliffe as they bid to save the Christmas light switch on, from the green-skinned Grinch. Starting from 5pm, you can watch Dr Seuss’ ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’ musical, which matches with the opening of the ice rink.
Food and drink from the markets can be purchased from 3pm on wards. Students, with a valid leaflet, can also buy £3 drinks between the hours of 3pm and 5pm. After this, you can stay in Salford Quays to listen to the BBC Philharmonic, and the Rock Choir local, live. The Christmas light switch on is free of charge, and welcomes all ages.
