Christmas has arrived early at Barton Moss Primary School based in Eccles, where locals have been invited to attend the Christmas fundraiser at the school in order to raise school funds.
Open for everybody to attend, the fundraiser is welcoming people on November 24, beginning at 9:30am until 12:30pm.
According to the Financial Times, a decrease of pupils has meant that schools across the UK have been receiving less funding from the government.
To kick start the Christmas season, Barton Moss Primary school has reached out to the public for support and to share the Christmas spirit with the locals of Salford.
Barton Moss Primary school is dedicated to supporting their local community.
Head teacher Mrs C Woolley states: “The children are always at the heart of every decision the school makes. This is a happy school and my intentions are only ever to improve the standards, outcomes and life opportunities for our children.”
Jenn Willetts, the top contributor for the event, said that the fundraiser will be a, “brilliant chance for us adults to get out of the house, have a brew and maybe make some new friends.
The tickets to attend the fundraiser cost £5 and all the money raised from the event will be going towards all the practical materials and food prices offered at the event.
