This was the stage Salford reached last season where they got knocked out by League One Shrewsbury Town.
After forcing a replay, they were bettered by the Shrews at the Peninsula Stadium, with the away side winning 3-1.
As a Football League team, this is the first year that Salford did not have to play qualifying rounds for this year’s competition.
The furthest Salford City have gone in the FA cup is the second round.
Back in 2015, as a Northern Premier League Premier Division side, they beat then League Two side Notts County 2-0 at the old Moor Lane ground.
After a 1-1 home draw to Hartlepool in the second round, they were beaten 2-0 by the Pools in a replay at Victoria Park.
