Josh Wood leaves Salford Red Devils for Wakefield Trinity for the 2020 season.
After six years in Salford, the 23-year old has signed for Wakefield Trinity on a two-year deal.
Although Salford Red Devils had a great 2019 season which ended with a spot in the Super League Grand Final, Wood’s season was plagued with injuries.

After the transfer was announced, Josh Wood opened up about his tough season: “I had a disappointing year in 2019 due to a little niggle but I’ve got it all sorted now and I’m ready for a fresh challenge in 2020,” Wood said to Wakefield Trinity’s club site.
He added: “I feel like I’m ready to really kick on with my career now and I hope I can do that at Wakefield.
“I’m now excited for pre-season starting so I can meet all the lads and rip-in to the training.”
Wakefield Trinity Head Coach, Chris Chester, is delighted with the signing of the Salford number 9.
“He’s a tough player is Josh and a really nice kid,” said Chester.
