The University of Salford will be hosting a cheer point during this year’s Great Manchester Run on May 19 2019.
Salford is looking for students to take part and help cheer on runners, entertain the crowds, and showcase their talents.
As well as the cheer point, activities such as DJs and dance performances may take place.
The run will take place on Sunday, May 19 between 11am – 5pm, but you don’t have to stay the whole duration, so you can freely help out and support those running.
Last year, thousands took to the streets to partake in the run, passing by Old Trafford and into the heart of the city centre. Mo Farah joined the run in his first outing to Manchester and Tirunesh Dibaba retained her crown in the Elite Women’s Race.
The run consists of both a 10k and a half marathon run, and if you are over 17 you can apply HERE for the half marathon and HERE for the 10k.
To register your interest, click HERE before May 10, and include the times you will be available.
It’s not too late to join 30,000 of us running through the city in the #GreatManchesterRun@Great_Run ??♀️https://t.co/k24L4S3djj pic.twitter.com/WG4bJ98Mzm
