Sale Sharks have a chance to ensure their place in the European Rugby Challenge cup semi-final as they entertain Connacht at the AJ Bell Stadium on Friday.
The Sharks will be looking to bounce back from defeat against bottom of the league Newcastle Falcons at St. James’ Park in ‘the big one‘. They had made a great start to the game, opening up a ten point lead during the first half.
The game kicks off at 19:45 and Sale Sharks have advised fans to allow extra time to get to the AJ Bell Stadium.

The sides faced off with each other twice in the first stage of the competition in the third pool with both sides getting one win apiece. The score was 34-13 in Sale’s favour when the two sides met at the AJ Bell Stadium and Connacht secured the points in the reverse fixture in a 20-18 win at Connacht’s sportsground stadium in Galway.
Sale lie in 6th position in the Gallagher Premiership with eight wins from 17 games. Connacht, on the other hand, are 3rd in the Guiness Pro14 Conference A league table.
Sale will be hoping to emulate holders Cardiff Blues in winning the European Rugby Challenge cup and Friday presents a great opportunity to book their place in the last four of the competition.
