Salford author Mandasue Heller will take place in an interview and book signing tonight in Swinton.
The event at Swinton Gateway begins at 7pm, with 30 minutes scheduled for the interview and a further half an hour for a question-and-answer session with the audience.
Mandasue Heller is famous for her crime thrillers based in Hulme Crescent, where the best-selling author grew up.
Journalist and broadcaster Dan McLaughlin, a graduate of the University of Salford, will chair the interview and Q+A. He said:
“I will encourage the audience to ask a lot of questions tonight,” Dan, now of Perspecs News.
“In the interview I will be asking Mandasue Heller questions about her career. The audience is encouraged to ask anything.”
The event aims to get people reading books and using their local facilities again.
Dan says he expects Heller to attract plenty of interest in her new book, Save Me.
“I rang Mandasue before the chat, and she was extremely lovely – and a great conversationalist,” he added.
“She told she likes to have a good natter, so my job will be relatively easy!”
• Tickets are £5 each and the event starts at 7pm and finishes at quarter to nine at Swinton Gateway.
