Salford City will be looking to stretch their unbeaten league run to 16 games on Saturday when they travel to the Silverlake Stadium to face Eastleigh FC in the National League (KO 15:00).
Graham Alexander’s side go in to the game having regained top spot on Tuesday night following an impressive 3-1 win at Barnet. The hosts currently sit in 10th place, having drawn with Leyton Orient and beaten Halifax Town in the last week.
A win for the Ammies, who go in to the game as favourites, will most likely keep them at the top of the table due to their superior goal difference over Wrexham, with the hosts able to climb as high as 8th if they can cause an upset.
There is no early team news from either side, but it is likely that Alexander could rotate his squad with Saturday’s clash being Salford’s third game in a week. The Ammies’ boss has stuck with the same starting XI in both of their last two games, the win against Barnet and a home draw to Ebbsfleet United, however.
Graham Alexander was delighted after Tuesday night’s win and told Salford City’s YouTube channel that the Ammies will look to cement their place at the top of the table, in Saturday’s trip to the South Coast.
“We’re looking forward to Saturday, it’s a real tough game. The league is very tight at the moment, there is a lot of good teams that are up at the top end.
“We have to do it again on Saturday, we have to have full commitment. It’s important that the points tally keeps going up, that’s what we’re going to try and add to.”
Tickets are priced at £12 for adults, £8 for concessions, £4 for under-18s with under-7s going free. Tickets can also still be purchased on the gate at the Silverlake Stadium.
