Award-winning illustrator and author Nick Sharratt was at The Lowry hosting his very own draw along.
The Tracy Beaker illustrator hosted two shows on Sunday which were coined Nick Sharratt’s draw along.
In the draw along Mr. Sharratt showed everyone how to draw basic animals, as well as showing them how to draw some of his most famous characters.
Nick Sharratt said this about the event: “I think sometimes that people don’t get enough time to do as much drawing as they could do and so I’m always out to encourage people to draw because it’s such a fantastic way to use your imagination.”
Everyone was encouraged to bring their own pencils and notebooks so they could actually draw with the acclaimed illustrator.
Mr. Sharratt also shared with everyone in attendance his top tips when it comes to drawing.
Had a fantastic time drawing with my girls and @NickSharratt1 @The_Lowry this afternoon! Thoroughly enjoyable, I could have gone on all afternoon. Very proud of my dumpy little seahorse in particular ? Thank you, Nick! pic.twitter.com/ng8UXrJR7y
