A Trafford charity, The Together Trust, has been shortlisted for a prestigious award.
The Trust has been shortlisted for Outstanding Health Service and Most Inspirational Social Care Professional for the National Autistic Society’s autism professional’s awards.
The National Autistic Society’s event will take place on Wednesday 7th March 2018 in Harrogate. Awards are divided into 3 categories: Individual professional, Team of professionals and Autism Accreditation
The lifetime Achievement award and the Autism Accreditation Award are not open for nomination this year.
From November to December 2017, the judging panel looked through all the entries and considered which nominations best fit the award categories and criteria below. The decision of the judging panel is final and no correspondence will be entered into from this point.

Sleep Tight Trafford, a service developed by The Together Trust in partnership with Trafford Council and NHS Trafford Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) , have also been shortlisted for the Outstanding Health Services award.
Sleep Tight Trafford offers a specialist service for families of children with autism who have significant sleep problems and have previously been prescribed Melatonin.
Carmel Perry, registered manager of the residential home, Pocket Nook, has been shortlisted for the Most Inspirational Social Care Professional award.

Pocket Nook is a specialist residential home in Bolton catering for five children and young people all of whom have autism and severe learning disabilities. Pocket Nook has been graded ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted for seven out of the last nine inspections.
Carmel said: “I am thrilled to have been shortlisted for this award, it’s a great achievement for myself, but also for my whole team at Pocket Nook.”

Together Trust Chief Executive, Mark Lee, said: “I am absolutely delighted that two of the Together Trust services have been shortlisted for a National Autistic Society award. The work everyone at the Together Trust does is truly fantastic and I am extremely proud to see that recognised.”
The charity helps more than 2,600 people each year, who are experiencing emotional, behavioural or social difficulties, physical and learning disabilities or autistic spectrum conditions.
