Trafford Council are installing 300 new trio bins, which they hope will deter littering, and encourage residents to recycle more.
These bins will have sections for recycling plastic and metal, and paper and card, and one for disposing of general waste.
Don’t be scared… the #Dalexs haven’t landed. They’re our new recycling litter bins in Urmston town centre!! Trafford recycles 61.3% of its waste and with your help we can recycle even more and exterminate litter. Find out more at https://t.co/6NVHuOVK0m pic.twitter.com/8Dp6silNme

Trafford are the top recyclers in Greater Manchester by recycling 61.3% of waste, which is more than 20% over the national average.
This was after fly-tipping became an increasing issue in the city.
In addition to the new bins, people who dispose of waste in the streets can receive fines.
Good to see the @TraffordCouncil @OneTrafford enforcement officers tackling the flytipping in our alleyways. Together we can make our alleys a safe and friendly part of the community again. #BeResponsible pic.twitter.com/CeWtnqE0sx

Jack Bracher, 21, from Salford, stated: “It is a great thing that the council has put trio bins across the city.
“I absolutely hate fly-tippers and think it makes the city look dirty. By putting the bins in action, it’ll be a great improvement to environment.”
Littering and fly-tipping can now incur either a fine of up to £200 or a prison sentence.
We identified several people on Friday who have now been issued FPN’s. We are there again today.

Others on Twitter are against the idea of placing a fine on littering.
One tweet stated: “Unless you’re giving those bags to the people who dumped them there what’s the point? It’s clearly household and recyclables from Xmas which wouldn’t be there in the first place if you were getting the actual collections right or telling people that the recycling bins are free?”
