HOLD fast have set a strict rule for their “Groovement: Honey at Hold Fast” event, stating that they won’t be playing any classic Christmas songs.
The venue in the Northern Quarter is one of Manchester’s top places for events. As well as being a hostel, Hold Fast hosts film screenings and even has a room dedicated to parties and all-night dancing.
Jamie Groovement, who will be dj-ing on the night of the event, explains why he has put a temporary ban on jingle bells, so close to Christmas.
With the festive season just around the corner, Jamie admits that he’s taking a risk by refusing to play Christmas classics such as WHAM and Band Aid.

The DJ presenter said that there will be other classics tunes on the night.
Classic hip hop, Latin styles, funk and soul will all be in the mix at Hold Fasts’ Groovement event – just no mistletoe!
