A crowdfunding page has been created to help the family involved in the Walkden house fire.
A mid-terraced house on Jackson Street, Walkden, was the subject of arson just before 5am on Monday.
Three children died at the scene, Demi Pearson, 15, Lacie Pearson, 7, Brandon Pearson, 8 and a fourth child, Lia, 3, died in hospital on Wednesday. Their mother, Michelle Pearson, 35, remains in a critical condition in hospital.
Two 16 year old boys managed to get out of the house.
The crowdfunding page was set up by Chloe Redford, a close friend of the family, and has already had over £2500 in pledges, which is intended to go towards the funerals of the four children.
The target total has been set at £3500, but this looks to be achieved very soon.
Chloe said: “It’s unbelievable what has happened, I wanted to do something to help. You can’t imagine what they are going through.”
Chloe is also hosting a raffle on her Facebook page, and has been busy collecting donations, with all proceeds going to the Pearson family.
Chloe’s mother, Sharron Redford, said: “We are doing it because of the devastation that it has caused the family and the loss of lives, and also the survivors of the family, they don’t want to be thinking about money at a time like this. You’ve got to think of the boys, they’ve lost everything as well.”
“It’s been brilliant and overwhelming. Everybody is trying to help and share. You can’t beat the community, everyone has come together. We’re all human after all.”
