The pint was released earlier this year to raise money for Brain Tumour Charity.
A BOLTON brewery has raised more than £600 for the Brain Tumour Charity after a Wanderers superfan died in January.
Pud’s Pint was released earlier this year by Bank Top Brewery, in memory of Andrew Leigh, nicknamed Pud after his love of steak pudding and chips, who devoted his life to his local football club and helping others.
His brother Ronald, explained: “Pud’s Pint started by a suggestion from one of the bar staff at the Ale House in Horwich.
“I helped with the design of the artwork for the pump clip which featured a shield as many thought my brother was a warrior dealing with brain tumours but the term warrior has been used for many people who endure cancer.
“Pud started watching Bolton Wanderers in 1979 and within the 38 years of supporting them he became a
respected supporter and voice of the fans.
“He travelled far and wide to watch his team play including Florida and Texas in pre- season games.”
His family and friends are carrying on the fudraising tradition by trekking up Mount Snowdon and walking from the Macron Stadium to an away game at Port Vale.
Ronald said: “We organised a charity cricket match at Horwich Cricket Club in August and we had several ex Bolton Wanderers players including Jussi Jääskeläinen, John McGinlay and Tony Kelly.
“I’d encourage people to help raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity, their website has fantastic ideas on how people can get involved. They focus on research and have fantastic resources too.”
