MORE than 140 pupils from at least 30 schools performed in a children’s choir on the big stage at Salford’s Audacious Church on Sunday.
This is one of the largest children’s choirs which was performing for the third time at Christmas in Manchester.

St Teresa’s Primary School and Oasis Academy Apinal are the two key schools that have taken part this year.
Glyn Barrett, senior minister at Audacious Church, says: “It’s so great to see children coming together from the different schools and in doing so, they make friends.
“It’s about creating community for people and strengthening family.”
The Big Sing Out started as an initiative of the Audacious Kids and Creative teams to get together primary schools from all over the area to form a big choir, bringing Christmas cheer to everyone.
The choir is also due to perform at the Manchester Arndale and at the Etihad Stadium this year.
Children worked hard and came together for a full day of rehearsals in the weeks leading up to the event. And for the first time, parents will be able to walk away with a professional recording of their kids singing in the Big Sing Out Choir.
This was a proud moment for many parents and the school teachers.
Glyn Barrett added: “Every year is getting better and better and we are looking forward to 2018.”
Children from primary schools can also get involved in next year’s choir. For more information contact the organiser at info@audaciouschurch.com.
