AN ELF workshop has opened  in the Lowry mall today, providing a new experience for families. The experience includes an Elf trail to track down Elvin the Elf who is hiding in multiple locations around the outlet shopping centre. This gives parents an opportunity to have their children engaged in something fun and exciting while they do their Christmas shopping, which can be a stressful undertaking otherwise. Elvin is holding letters, which spell out a code word that allows the children access to the Elf workshop. The event was already proving very popular today, with parents expressing their delight. One parent told us: “They loved it, we’ve been around the igloo as well and they thought it was brilliant.” Children that visit the workshop are transported to the North Pole by walking through an igloo and into the workshop itself. The experience is brought to life with moving polar bears and deer.

There are multiple areas for children to explore, Quays News has gained an exclusive tour of the workshop itself. Within and around the workshop there are hardworking elves that keep children believing in the magic of Christmas. Saskia Johnson, one of the hardworking elves, said: “It just captures their imagination in more ways.” The Elf workshop will be available until January 1 and it is a free event that is perfect for the whole family. Many different events are taking place within and across the Lowry, including their own Christmas markets and a gift wrapping station. The Enchanted Market will be there for four days, until November 26, displaying a range of gifts and festive foods. The elves are here to celebrate the showing of Elf the Musical at the Lowry Theater, with the first performance tomorrow. The shopping centre has often created activities to promote and support the shows on at the theatre.   Tickets to the musical can be bought online at: https://www.thelowry.com/events/elf-the-musical
