MANCHESTER Christmas markets lights will be switched on by Britain’s Got Talent winner Tokio Myers, DJ Sigala and Coronation Street star Brooke Vincent.
Lights will be switched on on November 4th, while the market will open on November 10th and will run until December 20th in Albert Square.
Performers will open the event, followed by a with a ten-minute firework display to celebrate the beginning of the festive season.

Upcoming band Yes Lad will also be seen at the event, alongside members of the hit-comedy stage show ELF, which is playing at The Lowry.
Manchester City Council warns attendees that: “Once Albert Square reaches capacity access into the area will be restricted.
“A number of road closures will be in place on the evening.
“Please note that entry to Manchester’s Switch-On event will be a little different this year and bag searches will be in operation.
“We advise you to leave your bags at home in order to minimise delays and to arrive early to avoid disappointment.”
Last year the Manchester Christmas markets had over 350 stalls and took place in Brazennose Street, St Ann’s Square, Exchange Street and Exchange Square, King Street, New Cathedral Street, Market Street, and Cathedral Gardens.
They were opened from 10am-7.30pm from November 10 and throughout the month until the 1st of December till the 20th, where they closed half an hour later.
The Manchester markets are set to be displayed the same time.
