SUBWOOFAH studios, the electronic music record label and music events company, who have been running since 2011 and boosted a string of top 10s, have joined Salford’s creative community to set up its new studios at Bexley Chambers.
The company has hosted an array of successful events – some winning the Event of the Month title from Skiddle.com.
Led by Manchester’s very own Queen of the Jungle – DJ Euphonique who was nominated ‘best female jungle DJ’ two years in a row. The studio will offer recording, production, DJing and live streaming, alongside workshops and training.
The musicians involved will be utilising their teacher training and youth work qualifications to inspire the future generation and pass on their skills in the form of one to one tutoring, workshops and community projects. Working alongside new Community Interest Company ‘BeeCreative’ (also based at the studio)
Quays, caught up with Director Nikki Crowley AKA Euphonique to find out more, Nikki said;
‘Subwoofah Studios started out as an event, I was 18 years-old and was doing a business module as part of my music broadcast course. The event was a great success and from there we kept rolling with it.
‘A few years later, I was working in radio and artists were sending me their music, but there was no platform. It was then, that myself and another artist decided to expand the brand and we set up ‘Subwoofah Records’ where we have had some great successes with our artists.
‘Subwoofah Studios is the next step. We are now able to offer a popular live streaming service, where the public can hire the booth out to stream live in between the weekly shows – the schedule of which to be announced over the next few weeks’.
