IRLAM Leisure Centre will be hosting the Salford Comic Con this Sunday, May 7 from 10 am till 5 pm.
This family friendly event celebrates all things related to superheroes and sci-fi such as Star Wars, Dr. Who and many other popular TV programmes.
The original traditional comic con was first established in the UK in the early 1970’s and this comic con hosted by Salford follows those lines. The venue chosen to host the event, Irlam Leisure Centre, will be an abundance of exciting exhibitions selling everything from vintage and current Marvel and DC Comics to toys, t-shirts, Manga and other related collectables.
Everyone that purchases an advance ticket will automatically be entered the comic con midday prize draw with 25 names being chosen at random from a draw box.
Competitions will be running all day for anyone to enter and take part and enjoy, including cos-play and dancing, with junior (3 years old – 13 years old) and senior (14 years old and up) categories with prizes and certificates to be won.

People from all walks of life love to attend com cons nowadays and Salford Comic Con is no different in that aspect as fans of all ages and genders enjoy the cos-play aspect, dressing as their most liked superhero characters.
