JOINT SALFORD City Managers Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley have signed new full-time contracts with the club, it was announced today.
The joint-managers will officially begin their full-time contracts on 1 April, with the playing staff turning fully professional from 1 July later this year.
The new agreement is set to last for two years
The pair joined Salford from Ramsbottom United in January 2015 and have since guided the club to a dramatic rise up the divisions.
Johnson is understandably ‘buzzing’ to have secured a full-time deal.
“The opportunity we’ve been given is beyond our wildest dreams. To be doing this so early in our careers is fabulous – we’re ecstatic to have agreed this deal and are buzzing,” he said.
The Ammies were in the Northern Premier League Division One when Johnson and Morley were appointed and come the end of the season Salford were promoted as Champions.
The Class of ’92 part owned club were then promoted from the Northern Premier League Premier Division in the following season via the play-offs.

Salford also enjoyed a memorable FA Cup run last season which saw the non-league side beat League Two Notts County and reach the second round proper.
Morley spoke of his continued desire to guide Salford up the football ladder.
“We’ve worked hard and done well and we’re both made up,” he said.
“This is a massive opportunity – when we set out to do something we want to do it well and are looking forward to pushing the club on even further.”
The Ammies currently sit second in the Vanarama National League North and are chasing their third consecutive promotion under Morley and Johnson.
