CATERING workers at a firm that supplies food and drinks for Virgin Trains West Coast are to go on strike over a pay dispute.
The workers at the company, DHL Global Group, will walk out on Tuesday December 13 at 10pm and again on the Tuesday December 20.
Staff are striking as they are dissatisfied with the 2.2 per cent wage rise that DHL have offered in line with the national living wage.
RMT general secretary, Mick Cash talked about the strike, “This union will not tolerate a guiding down of pay rates to poverty thresholds on Britain’s railways at a time when the political focus is all on lifting wages to decent, living levels.”
