POLICE have launched an appeal to find Manchester school girl, Megan Letchert, 13 who is missing from her home in Fallowfield.
Megan was last seen as she left her home in Lloyd Street South shortly before 5.10am on Thursday morning.
The young female can be described as white, 5ft 4ins – tall and of a very slim build. She has bleached blonde hair in a bob and wears glasses with a purple frame.
There has been one potential sighting of her in the Didsbury area, near the River Mersey, however it has not yet been confirmed if the description matches the one given by her family.
It is not known for definite what Megan was wearing when she left her house in the early hours of Thursday morning but it is possible she was in a brown belted coat with a fur trim hood, blue jeans and a black sparkly hat with a flap on the front and sides.
Detective Constable, Tracy Oldham, of GMP’s City of Manchester Team, told the MEN: “It is extremely out of character for Megan to have left home like this.
“Her family have not heard from her and are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare, so I am appealing to anyone with information on her whereabouts to please contact us as soon as possible.”
Anyone with information in relation to Megan’s whereabouts should contact police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
